A Walk To Remember ..!!

Days are being quite boring beacuse of no classes. Once there was a time when we were tired of attending classes but now in final year... things have changed a lot. We are having less classes, more time with us... to enjoy the last days of college. We have started utilising each and every holiday of ours in a different way... let it be in the form of parties or picnics or get-togethers.

Today Me, Reshma, Pooja and Shaswati went to the temple of Lord Shiva located on the top of a hill, near our college. Although Pooja and Reshma were the initiators but later Me n Sha also joined them, quite unaware of what would happen.

The place was a new spot for me... in the four years, I went there for the 1st time. We found our way through the jungle and started for the temple... all four going in a line. As we reached there, the place was completely empty. We had our "puja", then we started our photo session. Really had a great time there... in the midst of nature... in a countryside and in a place where God resides. We were quite busy in our funny activities... taking snaps, recording the activities of each other and also the whole view of the spot. We were expecting it to rain and to our utter surprise it rained, although not heavily. We took the umbrellas of the local shepherds and had snaps with it in various pose. We gave them "the prashad" and took their snaps also. On our way back, we had lots of fun. We went up to the stone hills and also near the trees. The fun was on when we had photo sessions in the table-tennis court, basket ball court and on the tractors near the college main gate. We four really had a blast there.

With all the sweet memories... happiness in heart... smile on faces... we all returned back making the day a remarkable one ..!!

Raksha Bandhan ...!!

Raksha Bandhan.. a festival of brothers and sisters.. a day celebrated to mark the love between them. God has blessed me with this wonderful gift.. I have 18 brothers, all cousins although I never think them so. They are all special in their way and I could not have got anyone better.

Not only from family, I have brothers who came into my life lately but are an inseparable part of my life now. I would ever cherish the love and the feelings we share. Even some are far from me, yet the bond has not shrinken and I hope it to be strong day by day. Here is a li'l description of these brothers and their place in my life:

Bibhu Bhai: He came to my life after I joined this college. He's a combination of attitude and simplicity embedded in his personality. His way of talking and analysing things are impressive. His advices, I always look forward to and would consult him once before I take any decisions. All the same, I love him a lot and more than that I admire him. In short, he's the best. I am lucky that I am still in contact with him.

Rakesh Bhai: This person became my brother here only but later I found that he is actually a distant cousin of mine. Smart, intelligent, handsome are some adjectives to describe him. He is always there to help me.... let it be the matter of projects or studies. His suggestions are ever valuable. He always inspires me to move forward, advices me about how to work in a corporate life and lifestyle there. Its indeed a pleasure to be in touch with him.

Sitesh Bhai: The style boy... who always confuses me with his hair styles and looks. Many a times, it becomes hard for me to identify him even. Anyway, the style suits him. He is quite handsome and a very very good dancer and singer. Full of extracurricular activities... from singing to dancing to martial arts... he is a champ everywhere. A very good support and is available only when I need him.

Navnit Bhai: This tall, cool and handsome person came into my life quite late but now he's been a person of some importance in my life. A perfect combination of attitude and style. Initially, I was quite afraid of him but after knowing him I realized my mistake. He is actually a fun-loving guy.I still remember, how I came to know him. All thanks to the local chat we have in our LAN. Intelligent enough to live happily in this world. Quite inspiring, loving and caring. I am thankful to God for bringing him in my life.

Pragyan: A very very special person in my life. Though started as my junior, yet his attractive and impressive behavior brought him closer to me. Smart, cute, cool, handsome, helpful, sensible, friendly, humorous... the list goes on..!! It always feels good to talk o him. He has been with me in my good and bad times. He is my tension reliever... always there for me when I am upset. I love the way he cheers me up and helps me regain my confidence. His attitude has humbleness and simplicity embedded in it. The voice, the way he sings is simply awesome. The more one knows him, the more it will be harder to go away from him. His voice is lucky for me... especially the one from movie Metro... In dino dil mera...!! I am really very lucky to have such a cute and lovable brother.

These are the few persons... who make my life easy going and light. I wish them all the very best for all that they do and be successful in each and every field of their life. Thanks a lot God for everything you have given me...!!

Proud To Be An Indian ..!!

15th August- a day of glory in the Indian history, a day for which every Indian is proud for, a day which we celebrate each year to mark our independence..!! The morning was quite cool, fresh with patriotism filled in air. The flag hoisting, the celebration overall was quite heart-touching. At hostel, the movies of the day added a lot to the mood... inspired a lot to move forward... do something for the country. The desire of listening the evergreen patriotic song "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara" by Pandit Bhimsen Joshi was fulfilled. The song, though quite old, is yet lively in our minds. We could never forget the beautiful lines in the voice of the Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar. The picturization and everything in it was quite impressive.
India has achieved a lot in this one year. Let it be the case of Vishwanathan Anand or Abhinav Bindra, Tata's nano or Info Tech sector developments, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam or Mrs. Sunita Williams, India has distinguished herself amongst the powerful countries of the world. The symbolizations given by the Indian Tricolor Flag has rightly been achieved, India has prospered a lot and has shown the integrity and harmony over the cost of the sacrifices given by the brave soldiers, guarding for our safety without caring for their own self. Let it be human resource or natural resource, India has given us every chance to be proud of her.

Friends, keeping the feelings of patriotism lively in our hearts, let's fight terrorism, naxalism, illiteracy, ignorance, superstitions, poverty and make the place better so that India will ever remain the crown in the world. In terms of Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma, India is the best in the whole world -Sare Jahan Se Achha Hindustan Hamara..!! Let's show the world how India is the best... let's show the unity in diversity, the culture, the values, the uniqueness India has. Let's make others know, why we feel proud of being an Indian ..!!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

Season Of Treats ..!!

Time and tide waits for none. We are now in the final year. After some months, this session will also come to an end. We would have nothing with us except the wonderful moments... the memories which would bring a smile on our lips.

Usually, get-togethers are a time to remember. This session has seen a few gatherings of ours which we would cherish throughout our life. It won't be wrong if we say it as a Season of Treats. First, Arun's and then Shiv n Riyaz's for their placements. Treat.... lunch.... these are just for the namesake only, the main idea behind this is fun... some memories which will never fade ..!! Atleast we won't ever forget the "Magic of 42" and all because of Shiv n Chira.

All that starts well, ends well. Keeping this thought in mind, I believe that the moments we live now will be a treasure for the entire life. The world always seems better if there are friends around and this is the message conveyed through these gatherings ..!! Hope to have more such gatherings and memories for lifetime.

Friends are a promise made in the heart... Silent... Unwritten... Unbreakable by distance... Unchangeable by time ..!!

Success & Failures..!!

Success and Failures are two sides of a coin which add flavors to life. Last few days were quite crucial. Being anxious about results and placements, days were becoming too hard for me. Going for campus and returning back was gradually making me hopeless and fraustrated. Slowly I started being scared about my end semester results which was about to be out soon. But luckily I came out from this tension with results more than what I had expected. Thank God, I could regain my lost confidence and now I am fully recharged. The thought of going for a campus has vanished from my mind and now am concerned about my studies only. Finally I could recover from the stress. Thanks to my Papa, Ma, Chinki and all my well-wishers for being a great support. I am really blessed to have such nice persons surrounding me..!!

This year has also been good for some of my friends... for they got through campuses..!! Ajit, Arun, Riyaz, Ashutosh, Manita and Aparna got placed in Satyam. Again Shiv and Manita made their way to Infosys. CONGRATS ...!! And for those who are still there.... "Failures are not the ending, they are always the pillar of success. You simply need to move forward without stopping..!!" These are not my lines but the lines of my father who have always inspired me by telling the story of Abraham Lincoln who made his way from "The Log Cabin" to "White House". Yess... the 16th President of America, Abraham Lincoln started his life from a log cabin and finally got the White House when he was elected as the President at the age of 52. Isn't the story inspiring...???
