My Official Family ..!!

One thing is certain when I talk about office... there would be undoubtedly the mention of the three 'gems' I started my career with... Ashish, Shirish and Vipin! But as the life moves on... people are usually in an "in-and-out" mode. They either enter your life or exit. Those who stay.. they become a part of the family... the Official Family! Introducing the new members of my Official Family (some names which you must have read many a times without actually knowing them :))

SREEMAYEE :- My friend-cum-enemy :P We were cubical partners and I don't remember of a day when we had not argued (not the serious ones, guys) :) It was fun... not only for us, but also for those who were seated next to us. More or less, we were an entertainment package for them. It so happened that the day we would be silent, they would try to start some arguments between us (mostly Niraj :P). Our "tom and jerry" relationship was not limited to office only. She soon became a part of our group and we had many adventures together... in birthday parties, farewell ceremonies, outings (Munnar and Bluemoon Retreat), movies and many more. Then one day, she did it! She left my cubical and shifted to a different workstation :( That day onwards, I became so silent :( :( But thankfully, she is still on the same floor.. so I literally have to go to her place when I need to tease her! A caring and fun-loving friend but please please please... don't get into dealing with her mood... else you are doomed :) In a few days, she will be promoted... from a single girl to a married one (God save our Jiju :P)!  Many many best wishes for this new venture in life and hope you have a wonderful life ahead!

VIVEK :- Smart, cute, intelligent, helpful, fun loving etc etc... some adjectives that best describe this guy! My lunch partner on Wednesdays and Fridays... the days for which I keep waiting :) One more thing we love to do is discuss about books and dogs... our common favorites. A great person to hang out with... let it be an ice-cream treat or a proper lunch treat. He also is a great help when it comes to technology. A person who would always introduces new websites, forums or blogs to me. Everything good except the fact that he did not take Sree to her most desired place and to add to that, he denied to take us in his car :( Viv, hope you have not forgotten that (considering your sharp memory but yes, we won't let you forget) :P Jokes apart, a good friend to be with. He has soon become an important part of this family with his amiable qualities that never go unnoticed :)

THEJAS :- He joined as a fresher after we joined, hence he's a junior to me (which makes me really happy :P) He is following the foot steps of his mentor Viv. Equally forgetful in nature and always lost in his own world (which includes his Deepu too :P) If at all, you find him in this world... then he would be lost in the internet searching for newest of gadgets and games. We literally have to drag him for lunches when we go out as he would always begin with a "no". We are so used to it now :P You would always find him very very happy on Fridays which is obvious as he leaves for Mysore, his home town. But where you would go wrong is... he is not happy to meet his family. It's something else which I cannot disclose here :P Guys, keep guessing :)

VIJAYALAKSHMI :- Considering the fact that she has such a short name... we made it even shorter... VJ or Vij :) A sweet girl with beautiful suits :) But who said sweet girls are not serious? This girl is really really serious when it comes to work. You would always find her digging into the system and you would automatically have an impression of not disturbing her (which we never follow). Other than work, she is also serious about her Amadeus friend :) She is beautiful with a beautiful smile... which must have killed many wherever she goes. Vij, nice to have you in our family... keep smiling :)

GOPI :- He was introduced to us by Vipin (his teammate). He is an amazing shutterbug who can capture wonderful moments. He has been with us in almost all the events we had... from Munnar to Bluemoon Retreat to birthday parties to long rides to lunches to dinners to .... the list goes on! The first impression you would have of this guy is... he is very serious. To add to this, he would be working till 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM and sometimes even more. Hardworking!! But the fact that you won't notice is he would start working at 5:30 PM or 6:00 PM. So counting from that, he puts almost the same efforts as everyone else does :P One more thing about him is, he would literally forget you if some special people are around :P He is striving really hard to impress someone. Hope he does that someday :) But Gopi, I wont forgive you for the pics you have taken on that Diwali celebration event at office... beware of that :)

Still many members in queue and their descriptions are in progress :)

Our Own "Prince" Charming ..!!

This is a post which was started long back yet could not be published. May be I was not satisfied with the entries or may be it was not the right time to post... whatever be the matter, it's time now to unveil this very very special blog post for a very dear friend! He is none other than, Yuvraj... our own Prince Charming!

How we met was just by chance! Those were the days when our fellow trainees left for Mumbai and only the Bangaloreans were left. As always, we made a point to keep the spirit alive and meet each other regularly and have fun. Then one day, Yuvraj came with Vipin (was Vipin's roommate then) for a movie we planned... and that's it! In the first meeting only, he connected with us really well. He amazed us with his amazing ways. He had that "never-say-no" kind of spirit which would always lift us to gear up for various outings and plans. Soon our lives picked up the speed.. it was no more boring or monotonous. We had the best of our moments in the form of outings, birthday surprises, exploring Bangalore, movies and many more. One thing I particularly like about him is, his attitude. Attitude towards everything... let it be towards friends, family, life, happiness, worries, problems! And that's the best thing ever.. because, attitude only defines what you are! He, with his exceptional ways of making friends and organizing events, soon became a key member in our group.

Some of the wonderful moments we shared and would cherish forever were our trips to Mysore and Munnarwonderful birthday surprises, our new year celebrations (Xyka and my place), shopping for others (mostly Vipin :P), our early morning drives to drop Mouli at the airport, day outings to Nandi Hills and Bluemoon Retreat and visits to Isckon temple and Bull temple. With him, time flies fast. We never missed any of the occasions to have fun... celebrated Holi, Valentines' Day, Friendship Day, Ganesh Puja and many small events here and there. When we don't have anything planned, we would just meet for kachori-samosa party or a treat of ice-cream. Those small-sweet moments we had together were equally memorable.

Besides the above mentioned, I have even more wonderful moments in my memory because of him. Those were the initial days after we met. With him, I saw almost the whole of the Bangalore city. Exploring new markets and places with him was fun. To name a few places we explored were Lalbagh, KR Market, National Market. The funniest moment I had with him was when we were going to some party (with DJ, I guess), took a lot of pain to come out of office soon, meet and then search for the venue and finally get to know that it's fake :) Shopping with him were interesting too... for he would take his own sweet time to check each and every pair of jeans and shirts before actually buying them. Bows to his patience! May be that's why Vip would always rate him as the best person to go with for shopping and there's no doubt in that. Not only shopping, whatever he does... he puts his best efforts into it.

His zeal was unending. The time came when he had to leave Bangalore and trust me, that was a time when we all were in a mixed state of emotions. The thought of how our lives would change without one of our important friends being there was very disheartening. But this guy, before leaving also... he went ahead adding one more flower into our bouquet of memories... with the wonderful treat for us! That was a great evening for all of us!

As it is said, time and tide never waits for none... they come and go on their way and we just get carried away with the swift passage of time. Our time passed away in a happy and fulfilling atmosphere. Yuvraj left Bangalore but left us with ample memories. But, he is still so connected with all of us. Glad to have crossed path with this 'gem' of friends. Hope this friendship flows forever... Amen!!

Hey, this post is special for it's your birthday today! Here are a few lines for you :

In soft gleaming light of stars...
May all your dreams come true.
May every star of every night...
Bring love and joy to you..!!

Happy Birthday, Yuvraj!!

P.S. Hope you have not forgotten your last birthday :P

Have fun, have a blast :)

To meet and depart is the way of life but to depart and meet is the hope of life ..!!

Cafe Coffee Night ..!!

Even though there are only five working days, I usually get bored by the third day itself and would feel like not going to office. But as always, I drag myself to the office. When you are in a situation like this, the idea of partying or going out is a fun in itself.

That was a boring Wednesday too and I didn't have much to do. So I joined Shipra in teasing Sambit (who was supposed to give us chocolates :P) Then Shipra had a deal with him. She asked him to come over for dinner and then he could get her chocolates. Deal was fair enough but the adventure was only half way, Shobhit not being included in the venture! So we (Me and Shipra) immediately chalked out a plan and invited Shobhit and Sambit for dinner.

Now, this was a different experience for me altogether as I hardly invited anyone for a vegetarian lunch/dinner (though I guess, I can cook well :)) But with Shipra being around, I was kind of confident that it would go well. On a preparatory note, I came out of office soon and got the ingredients required for the dinner. The menu planned was Veg Pulao, Dal and Paneer Chilli. Shipra came with other necessary items and of course Sambit :)

Shobhit joined us while the snacks party (hosted by Shipra) was on. We were side by side busy cooking but it was done within the time we estimated. I had prepared Paneer and was damn nervous, paneer being the favorite item of Sambit. But yes, I can guarantee about the Pulao and Dal by Shipra... they were yummy. Shipra is a "Dal Specialist"... a term coined by Me for her :) Whatever it was, our guests were generous enough to appreciate the dishes we prepared.

We were almost done by 10:00 PM when everyone thought of going to coffee shop. We started for Barista but landed at Cafe Coffee Day (in the Night :P). There, we talked... teased each other... took pictures... had choco drinks and of course loads of fun! By around 11:30 PM we came back home! That was probably the first time, I was out for so late with my friends... a nice experience though! As I always believe, to have a quality time... a good company is a must! Thanks guys, for that wonderful time :)

My Hang Out Friends ..!!

As the time moves on, my friendship voyage also keeps moving ahead! Not that I keep forgetting my old set of friends and look for new ones... but it's just that, I connect well with people who are more or less of my types... fun-loving, less-complicated and easy-going types! Glad to have met a few in this category too! Meeting them or spending time with them can be taken characterized as "fun, fun and only fun"! Here goes a brief intro of each of them :

YUVRAJ :- Our own "Prince Charming"! His never-ending zeal and always-lifted spirits made him one of the strongest pillars of our group. Quite amiable in nature and a  very helpful friend... you would always find him besides you in the best of your moments and worst of situations. Life is always at a speeding pace and very very eventful when he is there. I would always cherish the times we had shared.... let be at outings or parties or movies or any venture we tried! A "gem" of friends indeed!

SHIPRA :- We started as colleagues... then became good friends and now we are roommates. Her easy-going character is very much evident from the progress she made from a colleague to my roommate. It also defines how well we got along with each other. Like me, she also has a very long chain of friends. Having her around is really fun! I always wonder how would she survive if she is ever punished to stay quiet for just an hour.... a real chatter-box she is! But the point here is, I really love her chattery nature. In fact, I can't bear her sitting quietly.... and if at all she does, then guys, be sure that she is having a mood-out time and you better be careful dealing with her! You never know, what trouble you invited :P Jokes apart, she is caring and loving and of course, a very dear friend of mine! Love you lots, Shipu!! Keep talking... keep rocking :)

SAMBIT :- We knew each other because of Shipra. He is both funny and fun-loving! His talks can create wonders. You won't even realize if he is praising you or teasing you (Trust me, this is an art... not everyone can do this :P). A great lover of Paneer and Hookah. That means, if you are with him an item of Paneer is must and if at all, you have invited him over lunch/dinner... Paneer is a mandatory item (It's paneer for him as it's chicken for me :P). I really had a tensed moment when I prepared Paneer for him (tried something for the first time). As the saying goes... every friend is necessary(courtesy Airtel), it's really cool to have a friend like him around! You can laugh, laugh and laugh till you drop... when he is there!

SHOBHIT :- When there's a discussion about Sambit... Shobhit has to be there! They are our very own "Jai-Veeru"! He is sensible and helpful and a good friend to be with. But when he is with Sambit, there's only fun, fun and fun! It's good to have such people around... they give a good break from the boring monotonous life! Shobhit as such is cool and composed except those few wonderful moments when some special people come infront of him! You won't find him anymore in this world... he would be lost in his dreams in a different world! Jokes apart, a nice guy with wonderful creative ideas (which I like the most) and of course, wonderful friend!

RITESH :- A new addition in my group. He was late to join us but his energy matches with us (though we haven't gone out yet together for outings and all). A good friend who can talk and talk and talk and would always say that I talk a lot (I know, some of my friends have no brains :P) He, like Vipin, has a good book of childhood days which would make you cry out of laughter! One thing I like about him.... he never says "No" (at least not to me, so far)! Such a good friend he is, he agreed to watch even Ra.One with me... though I am not sure if he liked the movie or not! And because of that only reason.. I can consider him as one of my good friends I made in Bangalore!! Keep it up, Ritesh.... Don 2 is on the way :P

In addition to the above mentioned, hanging out is always a fun with Shirish, Arathi and Sanjeev also... for the adventurous spirits and amazing attitude they have! Glad to have such people in my life! Still, my listing is incomplete... hope I will finish it someday!!

Friendship is not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything..!!

Meeting My Bangalore Friends ..!!

I am mostly easy-going in nature for which I guess, I mix well with people. Over the years, I have made a number of friends.. some of them I still preserve while some chose to move away. Also there were few whom I mistook as my friends and had to go away from them. Whatever be the case, the fact still holds good that I have many friends whom I can always count on!

After coming to Bangalore, the most enjoyable times were the initial training days... more or less similar to that of the college days. We were around 25 and we connected really well and became friends. Now, Shirish, Vipin, Yuvraj, Ashish, Mouli, Arathi, Jahnavi... these are the most mentioned names in my blogs but I have not shown them completely to my world of blogging (except Shirish, Vipin and Ashish). So here is brief description of my new set of friends here:

ARATHI :- One of my friends from Ness with whom my walking frequency matches really well :) We have been friends since our training days and one thing I can guarantee about her is, she is a wonderful friend. Easy-going in nature, fearless, energetic and enthusiastic are the words that describe her well. She has a bit of creative side in her too. She is a voracious reader too. The best thing about her is, you chose any topic, she can have a conversation with you on that! Vipin has to be careful always when Arathi is around, who knows she may try some of her Karate tricks on him :P

MOULI :- We met at Ness and connected really well (she being a Bengali from Assam and studied in Odisha). She did not stay with us in the accommodation we were provided but on special occasions she would join us and again we used to drop her at her place. From shopping to parties to outing, she was always there. From friends, we became roommates and true as we thought, she is a "delicate-darling". Scared of almost all living creatures (lizards to cockroaches to cows to dogs to cats... almost everything) but love reading and watching vampire series. I have seen her gradual transformation from a bubbly girl to a very responsible sister and daughter! Once you know her, teasing becomes really fun and she is really an easy target :P

JAHNAVI :- We started off as roommates since the beginning of our training in Ness. She would always be in her world... through her phone! Fun loving and cheerful, she would always join us in all the fun acts we do. Whenever she walks or gets ready to go somewhere, she would take her own sweet time to prepare or walk. So in case, you want her at a certain time, you should actually tell her to start from an hour earlier.. then hopefully she would reach on time! One of thing, in case you are watching Hindi movies with her, then there are chances you might be asked for better clarifications of the ongoing scenes :P Jokes apart, she is a wonderful girl to hang out with :)

ANJANA :- Anjana is someone with a diverse knowledge on almost all techs n gadgets. That's a different story that she realized "the 3 mistakes of her life" after joining Ness. She would not join us in all our fun activities always yet she would come in one or two which we plan according to her availability. You chose any topic, she can take the conversation from there. It's fun to have her around to keep away boredom! A nice friend indeed :)

SANJEEV :- "The Mysterious Killer" of our group! We adopted this nomenclature for him for his role in a skit we had during our early induction days. But chill guys, his intentions are purely harmless. a very fun loving guy and jokes are always at his tongue tip. One thing you would notice about him is... he and his cell phone are inseparable! He is always lost in his phone. We used to meet regularly for lunches earlier but with increased workload, that has become a bit tougher. Yet we still try to meet as and when possible!

The list of my friends doesn't ends here. But the list here is a bit special for they are the pioneers in making my life at Bangalore fun and easy going! Had they not been there, I would have lost every interest for this place and ultimately my work! Thanks guys, for everything!

Friends are the sailors who guide your rickety boat safely across the dangerous waters of life..!!
