Past few days have been exciting. As soon as we got the news of moving into Quintiles, things have moved a bit faster. Our work stuffs were almost freezed, we were busy taking the back ups, the systems were being cleaned and laptops being configured. We were very calculative in the pros n cons... the major disadvantage being the relocation of office!
Ness office has the advantage that it was in Koramangla, one of the finest places in the Garden City. Calm, serene and a place with a wide range of choices for almost everything. Again, leaving Ness was not easy either. I guess, it always happens with something 'first'.. Ness being my first company. I spent two wonderful years as a part of my professional career kick-off. Those years can be rephrased as my fundamental days and I liked almost everything about it. However, nothing in this world is permanent except change! Finally it was time to move on and give new directions to life. Moving to Quintiles was not a bad choice for me. In fact, I always wanted to be there but somehow I had an emotional connection with my first company.
Time moved on, we moved to Quintiles. The start was great! We had our induction sessions and all formalities done. Next day we were in office. The ambiance was so different than that of Ness. We got separate cubicles each having a monitor, a phone and all the space to our name! That was indeed exciting and we immediately liked the place. In fact, the first day at office was spent praising the workplace, wondering on how to decorate it and of course clicking photos.
After this wonderful start, hopefully the days ahead will be equally great! 2012, so far, has been good!
